Students in Mrs. Toth's 2nd grade class were very busy this week. They read "The Christmas Tree Ship" by Carol Crane. a story based on the "Rouse Simmons" which transported Christmas trees from Manistique, MI to Chicago, IL. The ship sank on its final voyage in November of 1912 in Lake Michigan. They also read "Who will help Santa this year" with their reading buddies from Ms. Jarvela's class. Then they wrote a story describing what would happen if Santa's sleigh was pulled by dragons. Of course, they also made Christmas trees.

Students in Miss Jarvela's 6th grade class made string guitars for their unit on sound. They explored vibrations and pitch for science. These rockstars did amazing!

Important information regarding this morning's bus route: Bus 13 is experiencing some mechanical issues this morning (12/1), so Bus 16 is being sent out for pick up instead.
