The Wakefield Bessemer Rotary Club recently heard a presentation from the Bessemer High School Science Olympiad team about their plans for attending the Michigan Science Olympiad State Tournament that will take place on May 4, 2024 on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. A part of the presentation included a demonstration by Isaak Fyle on his State qualifying Wind Power project. After the presentation, Kevin Everson, left, Club President, presents a $250 check to Isaak Fyle, second from right, for the Club's support of the team and assistance in covering the travel cost to the tournament. Also accepting the check are Alvin Holst-Larsen, who is an exchange student from Denmark, second from left, and Elizabeth Fyle, right, who is one of the team's coaches.

We need updated addresses for our students. If your mailing address has changed since the beginning of the school year, please send a note with the correct mailing address to school with your student before April 29th.
Mandatory Michigan State Testing starts the week of April 4, 2024 and will last for a majority of the month of April. Please have students to school on time each day well rested, fed, and prepared to do their best. Please try to schedule necessary appointments as late in the day as possible.
