Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, February 2, 2024 is an early dismissal day for the Bessemer Area School District. Students are dismissed at 11:17 a.m. and buses will run their normal routes.

We are looking for any BAS alumni or former staff who would like to play with our Pep Band on Thursday, February 29, 2024. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Kepich at: jkepich@bessemer.k12.mi.us. This is always a fun event, so please join us!!

Mrs. Thull's class learned about dinosaurs in music with Mrs. Kepich. They sang, used Boomwhackers, and marched around the room to Laurie Berkner's "We Are the Dinosaurs!"

Ashley Dennis, 4H coordinator, did an activity with both 2nd grade classes. Students made a boat with aluminum foil then tested the boats in water. They added pennies to see how much they could add before the boat sunk. Penny quantities ranged from 4 to 121. Students then discussed why some held more than others. What a great experiment!

Students at WES received a special treat today as Mr. Kepich's 5th grade class traveled the halls playing holiday favorites.
