Homecoming Week!
Picture Day is a week from Wednesday! This is for all Bessemer students in grades K-12 and our friends from the GOISD who attend their classes in Bessemer.
NO MONEY IS DUE AT THE TIME OF PICTURES.
Students will receive a proof, with a unique ID Code, approximately 2-3 weeks after pictures are taken and ALL orders must be done directly through Lakeshore School Photography. Please DO NOT send money or orders to the school.
Retake day will be November 12th.
Our 5th grade classrooms, along with the GOISD MoCi rooms, had a special treat on Thursday. Ava Greil, a former Bessemer graduate gave an informative and interactive presentation on reptiles to the classes. She shared her knowledge as students embark on their persuasive writing lessons and will be writing their class pet essay to determine a new class pet. Thank you Ava for sharing your time and scaly friends with us!
The Homecoming Dance is next Friday night in Wakefield with a cost of $5 to attend.

Last school year, the Parks and Recs committee for the City of Bessemer asked Miss Hendges to have students redesign the Bluff Valley Park sign. They selected two winners. Kaylee Duncanson and Aubrie St. Arnold. The girls were each given a gift card in appreciation of their work.

Our 2025-2026 School Year Back to School Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at both buildings. Come meet your teachers, see your classrooms, and drop off supplies.
